4K TELEVISION is right here. Form of. Netflix is now streaming the second season of House of Cards and some character docudramas in 4K/Ultra HD format. Yet naturally, your TELEVISION needs to support the greater resolution to capitalize on the additional pixel count.
Programs offered for checking out in 4K will appear with the Ultra HD 4K tag. Netflix verified to Multichannel News that the firm is now streaming some titles in the greater resolution. Currently, Netflix is limiting 4k streaming to simply Televisions with Netflix and HEVC/H.265 deciphering abilities built in.
HDTVtest.com notes that the greater resolution stream really shines with "intense, colorful scenes" adding that the photos were "left with greater sharpness and smoother slopes.".
Still, the bitrate of these streams are simply around 15 Mbps so while the picture will transcend to HD Netflix, this taste of 4K is not a true demonstration of the greater resolution. HDTVtest.com adds that to their skilled eyes, some Blu-ray titles still provide a cleaner image.
